Meatpacking District

Sin lugar a dudas Meatpacking District es uno de los barrios más cool de Manhattan. Este antiguo barrio de empaquetado de carne, donde abundaban los mataderos, ha ido poco a poco transformandose en una zona completamante nueva y muy trendy cuyo epicentro es Gasenvoort Square. Los locales de última moda, brasseires como Pastis y hoteles como el Gasenvoort han hecho de esta zona uno de los hot spot de la gente guapa de New York. Lleno de galerías de arte y de tiendas de modistos recién licenciados en la New York Art School, también puedes encontrar las boutiques de diseñadores como Stella McCartney o Alexander McQueen. Gracias a las chicas de Sex and the City y sus brunch en Pastis, es fácil ver hordas de gente joven desembarcando en este barrio para salir por la noche o tomar unas copas.
